Our room was very clean and updated with a great view of the pool and ocean. We were excited to be upgraded at no additional charge. When we returned after lunch they said our room in the preferred club section was ready at no extra charge. When we arrived at noon on our first day we were a little leery because they said our room wasn't ready and to go have lunch. We originally booked the Sunscape next door but after reading all the reviews switched to Secrets about two months before vacation. My husband and I stayed at Secrets Aura from April 30- May 7 to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. They are so helpful with diving and water activities. They provide plenty of entertainment options, but the nicest thing in my opinion is they don't try to force you to do anything if you are not interested.I also have to complement my buddies at Dive Palancar. The entertainment staff of Adrian and Mariana are fun loving energetic and great to be around. Some of the bartenders who we've had the pleasure of spending time with include Alfredo Velasco, Fermin and Luis.Because we dive everyday, we prefer to lounge around the pools in the afternoon. At reception Sandy Baeza and also Nelly Bass will do all they can to make your vacation a pleasure to remember.Some of the restaurant staff that were great fun to interact with are Marina Ramirez, Mariana Reyes, Marcos TzucAne.Zitlaly Bello, Jorge Carrillo, Erick and Ishmael. From the moment you get out of your taxi,you will meet Fernando Yam who loves to make vacations special.
To anyone traveling to this resort, expect to be treated like a king by everyone there but especially the following staff. They are the absolute nicest people and I truly feel I am with my best freinds and family when we are there. The only thing that can top all of this are the employees.
#SECRETS AURA COZUMEL WEDDING PLUS#
The smaller size of Secrets Aura is a huge plus in my opinion. Any room at the resort is close to food, drinks and a pool. The new rooms are very nice with beautiful bath and shower, new air conditioning units and oceanview. We have stayed in each type of room at the Aura. This trip we stayed 5/6 thru 5/16/14 in the newly remodeled preferred club section. We have had a great time each trip and have watched the improvements progress over this time.
This was our 4th trip to the Aura dating back to December 2012. We've been to several other resorts in other countries but planning to stick with Secrets Aura! Then dive palancar dive shop who are getting you set up for your dives with the great divemasters Ismail, Lobo, Joshua, and George. Then at the pool who make you feel special is Adrian and Mariana who make a point of getting to know everyone at the pools and the beach and trying (and doing a good job) to remember everyones names. Next restaurants whom are ready to seat and great with exceptional hospitality, are Mariana Reyes, Marina Ramirez, Marcos Tzuc Ane, Zitlaly Bello, Jorge Carrillo, and at Portofina is Angel an absolute "Angel". Then the bars who you are greeted by Luis, Alfredo Belasco, Fermin. Then comes the great reception from Sandy Baeza the reception manager and Nelly Baas. Apon arriving are greated by Fernando Yam who makes you feel at home immediately with his wonderful "Welcome Home" to us.
The best part of all is the wonderful employees. We love to scuba dive and in our opinion is the best. We have stayed in all sections of the resort and all are close to pools, bars, and restaurants, which the food in all is very good. Every time there was fabulous and have watched Aura become more special each time. No matter which resort you’re thinking about, you can expect multiple Cozumel wedding packages tiered by budget and the number of inclusions they include.4th time in Aura in last 2 years. You can expect destination wedding packages that include everything from venue decor, to a private reception complete with wait service, open bars, and gourmet 4-course dinners. Wedding packages are varied in Cozumel, just like the resorts.
